MODICA ADT · ADT pilot

Test the twin on your own process in 8–12 weeks

A pilot answers one question: is the twin worth rolling out on your process? We agree the success criteria before we see any results, show first results after 4 weeks, and end with a clear go / no-go.

How a pilot runs

  1. Weeks 1–2

    Scoping

Your process question, success criteria and a first requirements spec (URS).

  2. Weeks 2–4

    Connect & data audit

Reactors connected, signals mapped, historical runs checked. First results by week 4.

  3. Weeks 4–8

    Twin on live runs

Process models, monitoring and, where available, the adaptive capabilities on your batches.

  4. Weeks 8–10

    Evaluation

Results against the criteria set in week 1, not after.

  5. Weeks 10–12

    Go / no-go

Report and a recommendation for rollout.

Good fit

  • QB Systems modular bioreactors, natively — or bioreactors from any vendor that offers OPC UA or MQTT
  • Yeast processes, batch or fed-batch
  • Runs lost to equipment faults, recurring drift, or a scale-up ahead

You get

  • The twin running on your reactors
  • A report with results vs. the agreed criteria
  • Early access to capabilities from our EU co-financed R&D project

We need from you

  • A process owner, about 1–2 days a week
  • Automation or IT support at the start
  • Access to historical runs, if you have them

After the pilot

A “go” moves the twin onto a licence or subscription for your reactors, with the pilot setup carried over. A “no-go” ends with the report and what we learned, at no further commitment.

Your data and IP

Every pilot runs under a written agreement covering confidentiality, data ownership and intellectual property. Your process data stays yours.

Apply for the next pilot round

We run a limited number of pilots at a time. Send us a few lines about your process and we’ll come back within 5 working days.

Your bioreactors speak another protocol, or you run a different process? Apply anyway — we can build an adapter, and it helps us decide what to support next.
