Modular Biotech Solutions

Connectivity approach to meet the bioprocessing major challenges

High cost and long time of production line development becomes a crucial challenge for the biotech, healthcare and at the end - for all the patients.

To tackle this problem, we created MODICA.

Modular plug&play system for bio-manufacturers to develop and scaleup new compounds.

Faster, easier and more sustainable.

Hardware

Modica Smart Grid

Control unit for media supply and addition. It includes multiple connection options (e.g. supply of gas and liquid, temperature and weight control). We offer 2 versions of MODICA SMART GRID: horizontal with 6 sockets and vertical with 10 sockets for MODICA SMART MODULES.

Hardware

Modica Smart Modules

Smart devices for critical bioprocess variables. They enable the measurement and monitoring of the different parameters through sensors and actuators. New types of sensors can be swiftly and easily integrated to the MODICA Smart Modules. There are no limitations for connecting new types of sensors.

Software

Modica Control Platform

Data acquisition and management solution. Modular industrial software for real-time monitoring of biotech devices and managing process data. Using our software with drag & drop P&ID functionality you can build your own process e.g. batch, fed-batch or perfusion.

Use Cases

Develop novel therapeutics compounds
- quicker, cheaper.

Main Benefits

Equipment:

Lower
Price

There is little competition on the market of cost-efficient solution for biotech.

Our products can be 20 000 $ cheaper* than the competition.

Time:

Quick Setup & Delivery

Applying modularity to hardware and software optimizes the ordering and production process

We intend to cut setup and delivery time by 50%

Manual work & Failures:

Lower Failure Rate

We are lowering the
entry threshold for less experienced employees by automation and UX.

By automation we can lower the batch failure rate at least by 3.8%**

Predictability:

Business Data at Hand

Business information collected from the process supports decision-making and optimizes costs.

Predictive maintenance increases production line availability by 5 to 15% and reduces maintenance costs by 18 to 25%.
